Background
Queen Adelaide had moved north for her health. In 1840 she made her home at Sudbury Hall, the Charles II mansion near Uttoxeter, which she rented for 3 years. For the handwriting, note, for example, Queen Adelaide's capital P, with an open curve at the top and an almost closed curve at the foot.
