a Civil Engineer in Liverpool, saying he has received his letter and “was happy to hear that you were fast recovering, I am sorry to inform that I shall be under the necessity of being... to a late Hour at the Colliery tomorrow Night, it will be uncertain my getting to you on Sunday, Therefore you had better come straight on to the Wool Pack Pendleton. I have not seen Mr. Gill since we parted at Liverpool. I have seen his Agent & he says we have nothing to fear. I will endeavour to see Mr. G. tomorrow, it being Market Day I hope I shall find him in Manchester, when I shall be enabled to inform you what he has done in the matter.
